Children’s Swing ‘Fore’ Golf Tournament Returns to Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (TENNESSEE VALLEY LIVING) – Huntsville is home to one of eight St. Jude affiliated clinics nationwide. This means that every week children and their families travel here for treatments which can be incredibly difficult.

A local doctor is trying to ease the burden through the Crim Compassion Fund.

Dr. Frank Crim is a retired dentist who has called Rocket City his entire life. In order to give back, he created the Crim Compassion Fund with the Huntsville Hospital Foundation. Money raised in this fund is intended for the emotional and comfort needs of pediatric oncology patients and families.

This compassionate fund offers financial aid, gift cards, toys and games, “No Mo Chemo” parties, Christmas gifts for patients and their siblings, wall of heroes portraits, scholarships universities and more.

And coming soon, the annual Swing “Fore” golf tournament for children with cancer. The Father/Son Golf Tournament is one of the most anticipated fundraising events for the Crim Foundation.

This year’s tournament will take place on Monday, June 20 at The Ledges Golf Course in Huntsville.
